I began learning the Great Highland Bagpipe at the Sarasota Military Academy in 2002, under the instruction of Roderick W. MacDonald. I furthered my skills at The Academy of Scottish Arts, and competed individually at Scottish Highland Games, as well as with The City of Sarasota Pipe Band. I have been leading the Memorial Day and Veteran'

I have been leading the Memorial Day and Veteran's Day parades since high school. I've been hired for weddings, Sarasota National Cemetery military services, birthdays, St.Patrick's Day, Burn's Night, and sometimes just because.

Taught traditionally, attending the Military Academy, I have an almost endless repertoire for marching tunes. I prefer to play piobrached, which are the traditional more classical tunes that the Scottish used to teach by Canntaireachd (singing the tune). With Highland Games, requirements for tune selections is a variety of all time signatures, from Hornpipe/Jigs to March/Strathspey/Reels. You'll hear the likes of Star Wars, Flintstones, Bonanza, Zelda, Titanic, and Game of Thrones when I'm having fun!

I've had the pleasure of playing with several pipe and drum bands, and performed along with Highland and Irish Dancers. I've joined in the annual Celtic Christmas at the Sarasota Opera House. While at the Highland Games, I've have supported/played for Bass/Tenor/Snare Drummers for their solo competitions.
